MATCH PREVIEW | VCF Mestalla looking for a win against Leicester City to change the dynamic
The reserve team faces its second match of the Premier League International Cup this Tuesday in England
VCF Mestalla got their preseason off to a good start this Thursday, winning 1-2 against Albacete Balompie at the Ciudad Deportiva Andrés Iniesta.
Impressive in victory against the Segunda División side, Miguel Ángel Angulo's team were solid in the first half and dominated play in the second.
VCF Mestalla went ahead through a goal in the opening minutes from Alberto Marí, set up by Hugo González and closed the scoring at the beginning of the second half with a beautifully crafted hit from Diego López, from a great assist by Ismael.
The game was also the first time in action for some of the players that the VCF Academy have incorporated for this season.
Martí Soler started in central midfield, whilst Simón Luca came on in the second half on the left side. Striker José Luis Pérez, a reinforcement for VCF Juvenil A, also had his first minutes.
The next preseason match will take place on Saturday, July 30th at the Estadio Antonio Puchades against Deportivo Aragón.
